That’s the first time I’ve seen the expression ‘FPV’, but it’s a whole new field now that cameras have reduced in both size and price.

I was aware of the personal use of drones or UAV from sites like http://www.droneuav.co.uk/ and there’s plenty of variations of quadrocopters, quadrobots etc like the Parrot AR on the market.

To be honest that might have attracted me to R/C model flying which, whenever I have considered it, seemed to offer very little reward for the effort and expense involved

It already has a catchy name — FPV (first person view) — and websites like this:

At least it’ll eliminate the need to remember rudder reversal when approaching!

Somehow it isn’t quite the same as flying. But certainly a step-up for the r/c guys, especially the idea of an on-board camera and goggles to view the output.
