DUB-STN-DUB FR **with pix**

Good evenings fellow enthusiasts.
This is a report from my recent trip to London with my college. We travelled with Ryanair to Stansted.Me one male teacher and 30+ girls all studiny travel and tourism

Flight:FR206
Deaparture:0825-Actual:0825
Arrival:0935-Actual:0925
Aircraft:Boeing 737-800 EI-DAE-Costa Brava/Catalunya titles

The 15th was my 18th birthday so I got away with having to give in a permission slip to go on this trip.Altough the flight didnt depart until 0825 and I wasnt to meet the group until 7.00 I was in the airport at 6.00 as my dad was going to work and I live right beside DUB it was easier than dragging my mam out of bed.
I arrived to what I expected to be a packed terminal only to find it quite empty with the normal morning departures along with the Aer Lingus flights to continental Europe.
I grapped a paper and watched the people go by.As 7 approached the EUJet check in opened and I heard the agents joke that there was only 19 people on it.
Anyway I met with my tutor and waited for the rest to show up.30 girls getting up before 7 on a tuesday morning can make for quite a long wait.
Anyway we checked in and I got number 119 I think.I like to check in early but as the group wasnt there I had to wait 🙁
One girl was told by Ryanair that she couldnt travel. She had a Bosnian passprt and would require a visa.So one member of our group had a sad journey home

We passed secuirity and headed straight for the gate.A18 was were we would be boarding from. There was alot of Ryanair activity at that hour alot of which was 200s.Both Vodaphone and Hertz were boarding.
EI-DAR was boarding beside us bound for PIK.
Boarding commenced and I headed straight for the back door only for the man in front to fall.
Anyway we were welcomed on board by a STN based crew and very pleasent they were. The normal waiting followed by the captains announcement and then the safety breifing.
Somthing very interesting then happened. We pushed back at exactly the same time and Alpaha Romeo beside us but we pushed further back.
We then taxied behind Romeo to the holding point 28.A Baby 733,BA735 and 2 FR738s took off beofre us as well as a landing untitled bae atp.
Dreamliner bound for LTN was behind us as well as the 738 with Say no to BA fuel surcharge logojet.
We lined up on 28 and powered down.It was quite a long run before rotating into a very cloudy sky. Before we hit the cloud base I caught a glimpe of the traffic jam below which Im normally in.
We climbed to 27000 feet.
Inflight service sommenced.I had a BLT which was the nicest thing Ive ever had on a plane.I also bought a Ryanair 737-800 model.
I have some wing shots which are down below.
On route we flew along side a BA 777 slightly above which dissapeard towards LHR just before we began our descent towards STN.
A long appraoch followed before a nice landing on 23 which was then followed by full flapp, speed breaks, reverse throust and alot of breaks.Ive never felt a plane slowing down like this.It was hard and fast before we exited 23 and began the infamous speedy taxi.We parked up and waited a few minutes for the doors to be open.We disembarked at the rear and went inside.
The Ryanair part of the terminal is caked in advertisements for Ryanair.Including flights to the Austrian grand prix which no longer excists.
We got the Stansted express in London and had an awesome day.

The return jorney started off quite apprubtly. We had been dlayed in Liverpool street due to some of the girls geeting lost.We missed our train and had to get a later one which had more stops and would take over an hour.
We got to check in only to be told by a rather snooty cow that there was only 2 mintues left and she couldnt check us in.
Well one of my teachers go quite cross and dememaned a manager to come out.
The agent was visibilly shocked and got her supervisor out.
Now I wouldt associate Ryanair with time travel but all of a sudden there was 8 minutes left so we were checked in and heaed to a packed secuirity area.

The previous day I had done some detective work and found out that the aircraft we would be taking operated DUB-STN-DERRY-STN-DUB.
I rememered hearing that Ryanair were going to pull out of Derry becasue the 800 couldnt take off there.
So chances were it would be a 200 but I wasnt getting my self excited.
We passed through secuirity which was packed with passenger travelling on a EZY service to BFS aswell a EL AL flight to Tel Aviv.
We got on the train and got off at the second stop.

It was a rush to the gate and straight down the stairs without having time to look out the windows.I got to the bottom only for it to hit me.EI-CNW a 200 was sitting waiting for me.Back door was blocked so it was front door.I took a window seat just behind the wing so I could see the reverse thrust.
Altough we checked in late we were not the last to board so I got my window.
Normal procedure followed and I saw Air Berlin dreamliner.2 Dreamliners in one day.Lucky eh?
Also around was a few EZY,FRs as well as 3 Air Berlin and 1 Germanwings.
We followed the EZY flight to Belfast. It took off and we waited for another to land.
Behind us was the LY to TLV,Fed EX MD11 and channel express 737.
We lined up on 23 and off we went. Not as noisy as I thought it would be.It was dark so no pictures.
I again had a BLT and a bottle of water to get rid of my coins.
We then began our descent which the crew said was gradual.Ive never gone down so fast and was only short of pulling the seat in front out of my mouth.
We apprached from the East past Howth head with Dublin city to our left and North County Dublin to our right. We had a rocky approach and a reasonable landing on 28.
Then the moment I had been waiting for for months. The buckets dropped and the noise and thril was awesome. One girl screamed but it was drowned out my the noise.
We left 28 and taxied to the A pier were we got off via the front door.We parked beside a EI735 and other FR 200s.
Into terminal and passed imigration.
A great day.My first Ryanair flight in over 10 years and I was impressed.
