A cold and sunny day, with one or two of note.
This Air Berlin 737 has been repainted and will shortly join Transaero as EI-RUA.

The weekly Air France 747F get airborne fairly smartly for Paris:

The Air Nostrum, Transaero and the Ryanairs were taken from the airport side of the road. A ladders helps but some shots are feasible without one.

Ah. I know the place you mean … well the bank by the blue car park. Didn’t know you could get shots on the airport side though without big ladders.

You need to go to the traffic lights afer the old IHL hangar and turn right – then there is one spot on the airport side after the first crash gate (cars park there without difficulty!) and others further along on the other side of the road, on the earth bank by the Blue long-term car park.

Hmmmm. There is a place not far from the old point near the threshold but it happens to be right opposite a building and some antennae which are a right pain. Next point I know is further along again just after the junction at the area where Irish Helicopters used to have a place but I think is now populated by maintenance vehicles. Is this ridged area the place ?

They are taken at points further along the runway where higher ground allows you to shoot over the fence (which is not as high as the part at the 28 threshold). A ladder helps but is not essential.

Are these shots all actually avoiding the big fence or has it been eliminated with something like Photoshop ?
Nice to see a good old Aztec still on the go. Had much times of fun in them.
