To the point it’s getting ridiculus, yesterday evening i counted 12 different aircraft on the ground at the same time, this morning 15!,compared to last year & now it’s about doubled the amount of ryanair movements.Has anyone else noticed FR taking over their airport?

Hmm… Whatever could you mean by that? 😀

What’s a good collective noun for a group of Ryanair aircraft then? I’ll start off with my suggestion:
An INFESTATION of Ryanairs 🙂

There is quite alot of Ryanair but there are more EI A320/321 based here.
FR fool you into thinking they have more aircarft based here because their rotations are quicker and more often.
Ryanair have increased their operation over the last year but go back to DUB on Aprl 3th when FR will have3/4 additional aircraft based and youll know what swampped is.

Dont forget the 757’s…. Imagine getting bored of them!

EI A320s on the otherhand…! I’m still sick of them. 😉
And as for seeing LS 733’s all the time… Well… They look so bloody good I don’t care if I do see 10 of them every day 🙂

Hehe, you better get used to it, we’re (Ryanair) here to stay 🙂 and it’s going to get worse in the next 2 weeks!
The fleet at DUB is going from 10 to 15 based aircraft not including all the others on delivery, spare, training and on maintenance so the total will usually be 17-20 overnighting.
It still pales when compared to Stansted who can have around 36-38 Ryanair aircraft overnighting. Every day when I see the fleet lined at 6am, it’s a really proud moment to see all the harps lined up and all of this has come out of our little crappy ole airport at DUB haha.

Nevermind FR B738s at DUB, atleast you’ve got a bit of variety with logojets, winglets, different slogans/titles. EI A320s on the otherhand…! I’m still sick of them. 😉

I think that after watching that dispatches program about ryanair it sort of sets a bad picture for Ireland.
I think that’s a load of rubbish personally!
As other people say, it happens at alot of airports, your not exactly short of Aer Lingus aircraft over in DUB are you!

Come to EMA, we have a pretty good balance of EZY, RYR and BMI – at the moment! 😉

Edinburgh is easyJet-ville. Just about every other movement is an EZY. Ryanair with their fantasticaly loud 732 were a much enjoyed refreshment.

I wouldn’t say ryanair paints a bad picture for ireland, there’s plenty more things goin for us than a low cost airline made up of eastern eurpoeans  ,as for other airlines Aer Lingus are as big as ever but there growth is not as alarming as ryanairs’.Aer Arann are doing alright, but have to look futhere a field for expansion.Ryanairs growth is not a bad thing but from a spotting point of view,it’s diluted the mix here in dublin a bit.

The fact that theyr’e a badly-publicised airline representing your country’s main airport?
No such thing :p

Hey – wait till they get all the aircraft they’ve ordered – then the whole of Europe will be swamped!!

What’s so ridiculous about it? The fact that theyr’e a badly-publicised airline representing your country’s main airport? That I admit is a fair point bearing in mind that Dispatches program.
How are other airlines such Aer Arann and Aer Lingus doing at DUB compared to Ryanair?
Look at Jet2 at LBA, or EZY at STN etc.

No not at NCL i think NCL is easyjets turf.

About normal for Stansted!
