In addition to a 3 hour sit in IAD we also had a 2 hour ground stop out on the ramp. Here’s a group of pictures I took walking round the concourse as well as from the plane as we sat out by the runway.
I’ll start with Air France…

Sounds quite an ordeal, but all the waiting certainly paid off.
All are very good photographs.

That’s thanks to the 4 months of constant rain on the East Coast, not proper care. 😉

At this point this Delta MD-80 had joined us in our sit. ATC issued another 2 hour extension to our sit but luckily since we were already out at the runway we were excempt from the additional time and left Delta sitting there.
That’s all I’ve got. 🙂

Atlantic Coast Airlines who feeds United out of Dulles and Chicago has decided to go it alone so they’ve started removing the United logos from their aircraft. In the next month or 2 they are suppose to announce whether they are buying Airbus or Boeing to start their new low cost carrier.

After walking around for hours we were off to the runway and passed these 3 aircraft waiting for their time to be placed in the new museum there. Let me know if you can’t figure out what they are. 😉
