I see a planning application has been submitted for 1800 houses to be built on Dunsfold Airfield, runways to be dug up.

It is often the way. You’ll recall the ‘delight’ of the residents in the area around Upper Heyford when the 111s thundering overhead were replaced by hundreds of car transporters and associated traffic thundering past their front doors.
