Dunsfold

Well Melv you and your group of friends did the public a service on Saturday ,by putting up a fantastic display of aircraft and motor vehicles(loved the Railton by the way).

I thought the weather was very kind to the show as there was a lot of black stuff about.

As for the flying how the the tri plane stayed aloft in the wind and rain is a credit to the pilot. It was with emotion running high to wittness R4118 and P7530 flying together truelly a magical moment that may not be repeated.

A big thankyou to all that participated.

Ian

Obviously not a serious problem, then, which is good news. Apologies – I omitted to commend your pictures – very good indeed considering what the conditions must have been like on Saturday!;)

It’s certainly on the participation list as at 6th August and was at Manston in June. Unfortunately it had main gear problems yesterday so only flew a couple of circuits, but was very spirited at Manston.

Thank you both for the comments, the side on Chinook was shot at 1/15th sec, the other chinooks were at 1/20th.
The ‘Red Arrow was one of a pair that did two displays, they didn’t use the smoke system on the wings in the afternoon display. They were rather good to watch.

Very nice pics on what was a very bad day.

You almost had me with the Red Arrow, it was only the smoke system that made me look closer and even then it didn’t dawn on me for a minute. 😀

Bisfit
The chap sat in the Hurricane was Eric ‘Ginger’ Carter he flew Hurri’s with 151 wing in Russia and considering he is in his nineties he had no probs climbing in and out of PZ.

not sure i do recognise him.
Russ the BBMF ibelieve are allowed to fly with Civilian this has come up before i think they have to be briefed on the display with the civilian crews. last year at Riat they Flew with Carolyn Grace, and the now retired Paul Day. the lanc has also done dispalys with Blenheim. correct if wrong BBMF guys.
