I was wondering whether anyone on here has got any pictures/stories of Dunsfold, and any aircraft/event/personnel that have an association with it.
My Grandad used to to work there as a safety inspector among other things. During his time there, he was heavily involved in overseeing the production of the Harrier, indeed he cleared the prototype for its first flight.
There is a particular shot of a Harrier coming into land while a Hunter sits on the runway awaiting its first flight. If anyone has this or as asked, anything else connected with Dunsfold, I’d be most aprreciative.

Yeah, thanks for that CharlieLima, I do have a copy of the book, a pretty good read. I’ve done a small amount of research, google searched it etc, but was just wondering, as the forum is available, whether anyone who uses it could help in any way.

Perhaps you have not yet got a copy of Paul McCue’s detailed history of the airfield pub’d in 1992? Reprints still available.
