Hi all,
Thought I would post a few pictures from Thursdays press day.
If it looks cold, it was because it was !

and for those that like cars with aero engines …

If I post this link to the Napier Bentley showing how car starts should be made will somebody tell me what the dayglo single seater Formula Junior (?) is called.
Also, can anybody tell me if Napier ever knew the meaning of the words “under powered”?

hopefully i’ll be demonstrating my sprint bike at this do in august, but if you cant wait till then and you want to combine vintage and modern bikes racing down a quarter mile and a wartime aerodrome then we shall be at tempsford on 2nd april.
all we ask is that you close the gate behind you, take your litter home and dont go poking about as the aerodrome is privatly owned.
also while your there you can pay your respects to the crews and agents at the memorial building.
if you do come to watch i cannot stress enough that we are guests and you are asked to act accordingly.
many thanks

Thanks MH. I’ll save the date.
Druiscilla will be doing the flying this year. She’s been perfecting groundloops on the simulator.

There’s that cute little Vermillionaire’s Reawin hiding at the back.
So what date is the show then?

Finally got the Rearwin back this afternoon. Not a pleasant day to go flying but better than Thursday!
Yes, it was cold. Very cold.
The Brooklands volunteers who came to move the Vimy were, as ever, excellent and did the job in record time with no problems.
