Typhoon Departing
I did indeed see them go as I myself was leaving. What a phenomenal rate of climb! And what power!
Have seen the Typhoon display a number of times now and absolutely love it every time.
My eardrums are still recovering…

Did anyone else see the Typhoon duo depart. How fab was that? Thought I was at Binbrook for a minute!

Dunsfold Wings and Wheels
No photos from me yet, but just want to say what a superb show it was.
Once the rain cleared, the sun shone and fun was had by all. Many thanks to the organisers for such a wonderful day, and the display pilots and participants for such spirited performances. Particularly nice to see the Sea Hawk and the Hunter completing those passes together, and the 6 rolls of the Glider whilst still attached to its tow-rope!
All this was expertly commentated on by Brendan and Melvyn – well done you guys, great commentating and you certainly had me and others nearby laughing on many occasions!
No problems at all with the parking, huge improvement on last year and great to see so many people there.
Already looking forward to next year’s show!
Rich.

Unfortunately due to last minute personal circumstances I had to miss this airshow (it’s now in next years calender). Does anyone have any photo’s of the event by chance? And news on how it went?
Thanks in advance!

I’m lookig forward to attending this airshow, my first ever visit to Dunsfold. Dissapointed that the Vulcan and Swordfish cannot make it, if this is true??
I see the W&W display list has been updated to include news of the Vulcan’s U/C problem.

Fly.Buy,
This is where Lee Howard (who posts here and is involved with RNHF) said that the Swordfish would not be appearing.

A shame, but I still hope you enjoy you first visit to Dunsfold!
Cheers

Advanced Ticket Holder Gates
Sounds like an excellent display lined up both in the air and on the ground.
Got my ticket for the Sunday, really looking forward to it!
Just a head’s up about traffic for those who may be a bit worried following last year’s mess:
The local paper (Surrey Advertiser) has a short article about the show. Apparantly the organisers have taken a lot of steps to ensure that last year’s traffic/parking debarcle isn’t repeated. They will be opening a third entrance and have a much more organised parking system in operation.
There will also be some of the ‘creations’ used by the Top Gear chaps in various shows on display. I assume this appeals greatly to many on this forum…
See you Sunday,
Rich.
Yes, that was real fiasco last year wasn’t it!
I must admit, whoever organised it for the 2006 show did a cracking job.
Lets hope the entry & parking all runs to plan this year!
Btw, Lee Howard has just said on another forum that the RNHF Swordfish will not be appearing either. 🙁
Cheers

Seen this posted on the TVOC Website.
Flight Schedule Is In The News Area Under “Flight Operations” Sub Heading.
Due to a technical issue with the port under carriage while repositioning the aircraft from Waddington to Brize Norton the aircraft will not be able to display at Dunsfold, Sywell or Broadlands Park.
Thanks for the heads up.
I must admit, I was looking forward to seeing her! 🙁
Oh, well, maybe the organisers can book a few more last minute acts with the left over buget! 😀
Cheers

Just noticed in the above list that the Hanger 11 P-40 is not on it, yet it’s still on the display participants list on the W&W web site.
Is this still displaying?
Cheers
