Dusseldorf 23rd July

Hey Chaps

Took another day trip to Germany, this time to the city of Dusseldorf. Once again the weather didn’t approve of my trip, rains on me everywhere. So checked in and made our way to gate two where a familiar face was, Mr Simpson, just so happens that he was going to Dusseldorf the same day! First Munich, now Dusseldorf, you need to stop following me around:dev2:

So yeah, enough chit chat, the pics.

I thought Hamburg airport was close to the city until I saw your opening pic. By comparison with that Hamurg airport is out in the middle of nowhere.

Some great shots Josh. Gutted I missed the Condor Special – looks as if though i missed a few good movements from the morning. I, instead got very lost in the city centre. haha.

Line up of the AB D-8s is a nice shot.

Enjoyable flights I thought – it was the first time on board a prop for me. Shame the one we were on was one of the older aircraft in the fleet – it was starting to show inside a bit.

Thanks for the comments Jono and Steve, much appreciated.

Jono, facilities are good, 2 Euro 50 to enter the OBS deck which is on top of the terminal building, terminal B they call it from here you can see pretty much everything. And its the second time for me on the Haribo, first was last month in Munich:dev2:

All the best
Josh

Fantastic shots there Mr Rice, a cracking one of LGW…awesome!

What are the spotting facilities like at DUS, any good?

Jealous but glad that you got to see the Haribo 737!:)
