Dutch Antilles. Anyone been there ?

I know we’ve seen some great shots from here before but with views like these I just have to go and see it for myself. Anyone been ?

Looks wonderful. There are no direct scheduled or charter flights from the UK to the island, but I did manage to get a quote a few weeks back for a two week trip in October of this year.

Flights were with Air France – London to Paris, Paris to Princess Juliana and accomodation was Room Only 3* which looked wonderful. 3* isn’t the best but the hotel looked great with a swimming pool built into a cliff top which hung out over the sea! The total price of the trip was £1250 per person.

I had a look on HERE and it’s not unreasonable for flights. I guess you could just sit on the beach all day with a camera and a few cool ones in an ice bag.

It is St Maarten. It must be a tight one to park a jumbo on. I tried it on Flight Sim and ended up in the sea no matter what I tried to do. Couldn’t get up enough take off speed either. All Flight Sim needs for this airport is some virtual tourists taking piccies (lol)

How about posting some of your pics The Plane ?

Isn’t this St. Maarten? I took a picture of a few planes landing when i went tere about 4 years ago….most of the caribbean islands have good spots to see planes and take photos.
