According to the website of the Royal Netherlands Air Force the constellation will fly on their annual air show. That will be on Friday the 18th and Saturday the 19th of June at Volkel AB near Eindhoven. The website does not mention if the Constellation will fly on both days or on only one.

Little way ahead yet but the Biggin Hill Air Fair which will be in September this year has both the Dutch and Swiss Connies booked for the show. The Dutch one is listed on their website but the Swiss has been announced this week in our local newspaper which is part sponsoring the event.

It won’t be there. Recent events have outdated the airforce notice and ruled this out. Volkel will be great, but if you go there just and alone for the Connie, don’t go. However, a lot of other Dutch historic machines will be on show, and photography is great at the base, both static (they know there what photographers want) and in the show, although you need some mm’s . The website is indeed clear about it. They state that the connie will fly. Of course that would be a great vieuw. But I also have my doubts that the connie will be ready in time. But if this news is true, thumbs up for the aviodrome based connie group!

I very much doubt it. BW Roger
