Yesterday, Spitfire MK732 made an engine run on the annual day for friends of the Royal Netherlands Historical Flight. Several engine runs have been made now. The chairman of the SKHV announced that the first post restoration flight might take place this week.

I remember seeing a photo of MK732 in the old “Control Column” magazine a few years back (I picked up some old copies from the museum which is/was at Booker) and in the photo was the fuselage from the firewall to the sternpost, and the wings. Nothing else. The aircraft looked pretty stripped.

This is MK732 a few years ago.
She’s looking far happier now than she did then

With Spit XVI TE184 (now a high-back) and another unknown XVI behind it.
Mk.24 PK683.

I hope they give her clipped wings again. Looks so much better IMHO!

Good to see her near flying status again. Hope they keep the silver scheme, it looks fantastic.

Great news. I love the colour scheme on this aircraft.
I had read recently that the Spitfire was possibly going to be repainted?
