Duxford 07/05/05 pics

Hi all,
Here are a few of my efforts. The weather effectively killed a lot of the displays :(, and it does not seem as if it has been that much better today, I have had two heavy hail showers in Sawston so far this afternoon!.

I think that there were at least 8 displays on the provisional list that did not make it yesterday.

Anyway here are a few slightly dodgy pics.

There were some fantastic cloud formations on the Saturday and I thnk you certainly managed to capture them with the Flightline walk pictures.

Great Shots….

Maybe I am a little too self critical!

Nice photos Jonathan, I was down the Land Warfare end and still had to crop quite a few of mine.

Thanks for the comments all :).

The Corsair & Hellcat did not fly on Saturday due to the cross wind being too strong :(.

Cool 🙂
They somehow remind me a bit of 1970s magazine colour illustrations – except printed in register 😉

Mostly caused by the polarisation filter, but with a little bit of post processing afterwards :). They were all shot RAW & processed initially with Ras Shooter Essentials. Then PhotoShop for removing the odd dust spot and resizing for the web.

You’ve got some mad colours going on there! Post-editing or polarisation filter?

I think the flightline photos are superb, the clods really make the pictures.
Thanks for sharing.

I agree that next to the Land Warfare Museum is cool, I got to watch the show from the “Gold Pass” enclosure – Fantastic! I’d recommend that next time.

Thanks for the nice comments guys :). This was the first time I have been to an airshow at Duxford, and it soon became apparent that my chosen position (just past the American hanger) could have been improved upon. I guess had I been nearer the Land Warefare building, I would not have had to crop quite so much…

Anyway a few more pics from the flightline walk.

Not in the least bit dodgy Jonathan. Cracking pics, i especially like the Harrier one and the underside of the P40. The Sunday show had much fewer cancellations, there were plenty of storms about, but most of them seemed to by-pass Duxford conveniently!

Nice shots. Particularly like the shots on the flightline with the moody clouds.
