I was very disappointed by this air show. The display list was typical of a Duxford show full of the regular participants which were a good thing because just about every aircraft are capable of doing a dynamic display,
Unfortunately, the show felt anything but dynamic with the faster piston engine aircraft just going up and down the runway whilst others did the usual loops and rolls but well in the distance so much that I felt I like an onlooker rather than a spectator.
Forty five minutes before the start of the flying, the M11 end was almost devoid of people and at the Royston end during the display there was still plenty of space in the tank bank area.
The number of photographers that were present was down due to the extra car parking charge as well as the new CAA regulations which almost single handedly turned the flying display in to something which is now significantly poorer.
A lot of the general pubic stayed away perhaps because the price of children attending the show has rocketed and of course the additional parking fee. ·

Nice pictures SEMAE. A couple of questions.
I notice your pictures are JPEGs. Are these the originals, or were they originally in RAW ?
Do you do any post processing ?

Nice shots there, Martin (as usual!).
I suppose a new, longer lens is now necessary for anything vaguely aerobatic?
Thanks for posting.
