Duxford and Mildenhall – 16th October

The plan was to spend today at Duxford for the autumn air show, but as soon as I got wind of a certain Chav Canberra’s unexpected activity I hot-footed it to Mildenhall to get the WB-57 arriving back at base.

The day started with the flightline walk. Twas foggy, and that made for some atmospheric shots…

After meeting up with some friendly faces new and old, it was time for the flying display, of which I managed to see barely an hour before heading back up the A11! The hazy sun didn’t make for great photography conditions, especially not for a hamfisted clown like me… :blush :clown

And so to Mildenhall. Having ballsed-up my shots of the aircraft on Friday afternoon, I was determined to get it right this time! “November 928” arrived back in glorious late afternoon sun. Big thanks to StevieB for the loan of his mighty 20D… 🙂

A great day out, in glorious weather.

“Chavs” mostly reside in Essex…. can’t miss that bit out!

Chavs……….Short for Cheltenham averages.

“Chav Canberra” in that to the layman it has the appearance of a Vauxhall Nova owned by a Burberry-clad layabout who’s stuck a load of bodykit on! 😉
