How does this show compare with Legends? Is there a flight line walk? I see that it will be focusing on the spitfire and hurricane – does anyone know how many of each are likely to attend? I also see that the BBMF and Sally B will be displaying. What else might be there? Or is it too early to know? I’m very tempted to go. Thanks.

Thanks all for your nice words.
Septic. I did get some pics of the F16/Spit combo but not that brilliant.
The topside pic was when they were coming in from the south east and heading toward the center of the croudline. They were quite far away so quite a large crop on that one.
Here they are. Please click on thumbnails.

Very nice Martin,
I thought for a minute that you missed the show. 😮
Did you get any of the F16-Spit combo.
All the best
Septic.

Thanks for that. I’ll definitely consider going, but i’ll have to count the coins in my piggy bank! But as it’s such a long wait to next year’s Legends I’d like one last blast before the planes are put to bed for the winter.

I think Dez has pretty much hit the nail on the head. The Autumn Airshow always seems a bit of an anticlimax after the Duxford Airshow (which is always good) and Legends before that.
You could best describe it as a last blast before winter, and it’s always a long winter! 🙁 It’s still a good show though, and a good chance to get those final pickies before the aircraft are stripped for winter overhauls.
Come along I’m sure you’ll enjoy it! 😀
Cheers

Last year it was a good show but bit cold with the wind its worth it to see the Warbirds before they put to bed for winter as it were.
Last year was nice line up some Heavy metal from the RAF the LA9 last show here and Breitling Fighters last show also,Which made it special.
If we have some late summer early autumn sun its a great way to end the season.

Ive been to this show for the past few years and the flightline has been opened, the majority of the aircraft are Duxford Based (No Bad thing of course 😉 ) with the odd visitor including some RAF heavy metal Tornado/Jag/Harrier.
Its not quite up to the spectacle of Legends but as one of the last shows of the season and the long 6/7 months till the next ‘big’ show it is well worth the treck…
🙂
