Don’t know what it is but I particularly like photos of aircraft with partially retracted gear. My favourite here has to be the Wildcat, that is a shot you seldom see. I can just imagine the frantic winding being done by the pilot.

Very nice shots TEEJ.
The tank bank end was not one of my best choices for photography given the hazy conditions, but the Hellcat take off just about made up for it!:)
