Duxford – Battle of Britain 65th Anniversary airshow. Where shall we meet?

Yeah yeah another DX airshow thread.
Who is going on which day and where shall we meet?
I will be there from Friday and having had an ‘Annus Horribilis’ in Queen speak, would like to chill out in the good company of like minded lunatics.

There ought to be a gathering at the Red Lion on the Saturday evening, if not for the Adnams and good food, simply to have a Forum photo.

Meeting place on the Friday, 12:30 at the Runway restaurant. Saturday and Sunday 12:00 on the tank bank.

With all those Spitfires and Hurricanes on the ground and in the circuit it has to be a terrific event whatever mother nature has in store weather wise.

So who is going to be there and which day?

I looked the Met Office website a few minutes ago and the forecasts for Saturday and Sunday are much the same now.

We much prefer not to have 4 hours driving on a Sunday with work the following day so we’ll stick with Saturday.

Will look at BBC Look East’s lovely, nutty and usually accurate weather girl in an hour and let you know, not raining here yet.

Was setting out on site in Herts today and re-routed past Duxford on the way home at lunchtime. Parked up at the Hill and was surprised to see such a lack of activity, only Sally B and what looked like a couple of Spitfires on the grass. According to the weather forecast Sunday looks the best bet, in that case I think that the traffic could be as bad as the last Spitfire show, therefore have decided to park car in Duxford village and cycle in, if anyone on the forum wants to introduce themselves, I shall chain my bright yellow bike to the fence at the top of the Tank Bank and lurk, screaming kids and stepladders permitting, will probably have pocket TV to check on Test Match.

Help ML407 as well.

Aha well,
you can’t beat them.

You can also keep ML407 in the air as well.

And you didn’t, WATCH OUT for that BUILDING too late. Any way I thought it was my office

Right, thats it, the gloves are off.

It needed a re-paint anyway, well a bit of bodywork as well.

Stupid place to put a corner anyway.

Why not everyone else out there has been doing it for years!!!

But not by advertising the fact on the internet……

I can’t let this continue, I must get this thread pulled, its bringing the BBMF into disrepute….

BBRRrrr I won’t tolerate this. My office, first thing, Front and Centre.
