Duxford Battle of Britain air show 19 and 20-09-2015

A few late ahots from me:

On the Saturday, I was on the M11 end of the afield and unfortunately due to two motor accidents, the motorway was clogged for most of the afternoon.
As some people already know, sadly one of the accidents was only a few hundred yards away and a motorcyclist was killed.

This affected many of the displays with little or no flying over the M11 for much of the afternoon on entry or exit to the airfield. Also, due to the Shoreham tragedy, the display datum was shifted down to the right.

On Sunday, I went down the right hand end of the airfield and had better day of photography although anything coming round from the right at that is more likely to be a silhouette. As the datum was shifted more towards the tank bank end, the displays seem to be closer more of the time, the result being more photo opportunities than I have previously experienced compared to a few years ago.

There were no accidents on the M11 on Sunday but as I was not that end of the airfield that day, photography may have been better but by how much is still an unknown quantity.

Enjoyed myself on Sunday. Not so much on Saturday.
