…’How I Nearly Met Obi Wan Kenobi’

Ewan McGregor was a guest of The Fighter Collection on Friday 3rd July. I believe he had expressed a wish to fly in an open cockpit aircraft so the Classic Flying Machine Collection (See Here) kindly provided their Fairchild Cornell PT-19 and TFC their TF-51D ‘Miss Velma’ for a bit more grunt and power. I do believe he enjoyed both flights.

There has been a bit of a change around in 4 Hanger with the HAC Collection, Spitfire/Hurricane/Nimrod operating out of 3 Hanger and the north side of 4 hanger now housing the Varsity. Still can’t see why the ‘Plastic’ DU.X Spitfire is under cover when there are real warbirds sitting outside.
