Had a wonderful day at Duxford yesterday, a day that could easily rival some airshows.
The American air museum was off limits because of a private function, but it was the flying that made my day.
Full display from the Chipmunk, which I really enjoyed.
Dragon Rapide and Tigermoth 2 ship flypasts.

Great display by EP120
Lovely Twin Otter
Out for a sunny days flying!
A fantastic display by 434 and Ferocious Frankee
The star of the day had to be the Yak3, which was doing its display test for its authorisation ticket, hopefully for Legends.

All in all a good day out.

I think it’s probably more something to do with this guy. (Cribbed from OFMC website)
Lee Proudfoot – Professional formation display pilot since 1991 and has flown 8000 hours in over 60 different types of aircraft. Lee has flown for various commercial airlines and spent 7 โexcitingโ (and very cold!) years as chief pilot, โBushโ flying in the Antarctic for the British Antarctic Survey.

Well that could be it ๐ Thanks for info.

The Twotter is over for its winter maintenance at Marshalls I guess and they seem to turn up at DX occasionally for some reason.

The Yak 3 is a smart looking machine and it’s nice to see an unusual colour scheme. I am looking forward to seeing it at Legends. If it is as nippy as the La 9 then it will be a stunning display. Having said that the Polikarpov I-15 was no slouch either, mind you a little thing like that with about 1000hp should be.

Thanks guys,
by the comments that were coming over the scanner, it sounds like the Yak 3’s display was well received. The 1st display was good, but, the 2nd was fantastic, lovely and tight.
