Thank you to Everyone that posts on this thread, it is appreciated greatly! Duxford holds a special place for me, many a summer there as a kid in the 70’s, now living in the States, this thread and the occasional visit keep it going.
Especially thank you to those that provide us all with the brilliant photos, the one above is stunning !!
Happy New Year

Duxford Wednesday 31st December:
With the Sun setting on 2014, it’s time to wind things up.
Firstly, on behalf of all the Duxford regulars, many thanks to all who have posted their appreciation on this thread recently. It is always gratifying to know our efforts are well received.
Our coverage of events is a team effort, and would not be possible without the assistance (and tolerance) of the many Duxford staff and volunteers. Hopefully our coverage of 2015 will be equally thorough.
Best wishes to all for 2015,
DCW

G’Day All, as usual DCW’s efforts are excellent. The engine compilation only makes you wonder what it would be like to hear them all doing there thing! Best wishes for the festive season, stay warm 😎
The sound alone would make the admission fee worth it I reckon.

Luke,
JP and Blenheim are on view, but both are well covered for winter (suggest you do the same!!)
Thanks. Don’t you worry the thermals are laying out on the floor soaking up the heat from the heating. Nice and toasty.

161st and last visit of the year and with all the cold, white slippy stuff all around, I wimped out going on my motorbike and used public transport to get to Duxford along with my new non-slip walking boots that I thought I had worn in. Nope. Blister. Ouch. A nice bit of bright winter sun light was filtering through the high up windows in hangar 3 first thing, bathing a few war birds in sunshine and as the sun rose higher the frost on the ground and airframes soon started to melt. There were a few GA visitors during the afternoon with a couple of Gyroplanes, another arrived after I had left, being the stand out items and the flex wing pilot must get the prize for flying in an open cockpit in those temperatures.

Can’t wait to see that Mustang when I go for my final trip of 2014 Tommorow. Is the Jet Provost (T5?) still their and the Blenhiem in Hanger 3?
Luke
Thanks for great coverage this year
