Duxford Diary (2015)

Taking swiftly over from this one:

http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?128152-Duxford-Diary-2014

Here is the new thread for Duxford activities in 2015.

Happy New Year to you all, and thanks to all the contributors in previous years for making it such a good reference of activities at Duxford. Many highlights, but the Blenheim has to be Number 1 for me!

To echo other threads, a huge thank you to all who contribute to this remarkable website. The first thing I check each day, and am never disappointed.
All the best to all in 2016.

Duxford Thursday 31st December:

As the time approaches to wind up this year’s Duxford Diary, it is also time to say a few words of thanks. I am sure I can speak for all the regular contributors in expressing our gratitude for the assistance and tolerance shown by staff and volunteers on our frequent visits. We are also very grateful for the positive comments posted my many forumites at this time of year.

There is plenty to look forward to in 2016. The first big event will be the re-opening of the American Air Museum in March:

Wonderful photos as usual. I noticed the R.R. Hucknall runway in the background of Steve’s Chipmunk shots. Another piece of history gone.

What about the tower???

Duxford Tuesday 29th December:

A warm sunny mid-winter day, with lots of activity. Wacky Wabbit had a busy day:

Great top 10 DCW, although I thought the most popular song at Duxford at the moment was Advance Ticket to Ride!

God P9374 is such a gorgeous looking spit!
Didnt some middle eastern prince or something similar buy her? But will keep her in the UK? Im sure i read that on the poster of the UK based airworthy spits! May have misread it though

The theme was 1940 ….

Yes ours was too, though accuracy was very low in terms of re-enactment authenticity.
