The day started with wall to wall sunshine again but from time to time the cloud rolled in and it got quite dark, despite the clear blue sky. As for the showers that were forecast, well they arrived all at once with an almighty downpour at around 15.30 with added thunder, which sounded much louder inside a metal hanger, and lightning. Fortunately most of the arrivals had arrived by the time the storm started with the DC-3 hot footing it down the runway in its usual nose down/tail high attitude as the heavens opened. The Ju-52 arrived afterwards from the direction the storm was heading. Liberty Belle had a routine maintenance day and for £3 it was open to the public.

Did I say we had a bit of rain?

They only thing that frustrates me about Duxford is that if the sun is out, you’re facing it… until very late afternoon.
Good thing that doesn’t happen too often then! :dev2:

I’m 6ft 1in and had trouble just getting through the nose into the cockpit . How they did it in flying kit with the aeroplane moving is beyond me.

Correct, B-26 is the Swedish one and I don’t remember being in a DC-3. For £3 I did get a wander around inside the ‘Liberty Belle’ though
As for jimei, please explain what any of your posting has to do with anything on this forum? and I do hope no one has clicked on any of the links as you may end up with something nasty attacking your computer. It has been reported.
