Barring any last minute problems, I shall be treating myself to a trip to Duxford next Saturday, 6th March, it being my birthday the next day.
If anyone would like to meet me there, they’re more than welcome. My plan is to get to Duxford around 10.30 am.
This will NOT be an ‘official’ Forum meet, just a few (!) of us meeting up & walking around Duxford together. So there’s no need to commit yourself to going, you can just turn up on the day, though through this thread it would nice to have an idea who to expect.
Anyway, can anyone suggest a suitable meeting place at Duxford? Somewhere that we can all easily find, indoors would be handy in the even of rain.
So if you’re interested let me know here.

I can meet you in the car park 10.30ish if you like. Will need to know what your new wheels look like, reg, and where you’re going to park. I don’t mind helping with the ramps either. Once we’ve met we can find the others by the Lanc. Have you still got my mobile No? If so you can ring me when you get there, in case I’m still en-route etc. & it’ll help us to find each other in the car park. Let me know if you need my mobile No & I’ll pm it to you.

I’d like to come, but there is a bit of a problem. After going round Hendon last time on crutches it nearly killed me, so this time I’d have to use my wheelchair. I’m afraid that means I’m going to have to ask if any of you wouldn’t mind meeting me outside and giving me a hand with ramps etc. As an incentive, whoever goes in with me I think gets in at half price as a carer. I’d be really grateful for anyone’s help. Thank you.

No special events are planned for Saturday, it’s just a case of a few of us meeting up & walking around the airfield together.
I shall leave the choice of meeting point up to those who have visited DX recently (I’ve not been for 3 years+) and who will have a better idea of what’s best.
So far Robbo’s seems the best idea to me though, the bench by the Lancaster in the Superhanger (Hanger 1?).

Not allowed – not back from Belgium yet, and can´t push my luck further. Even though my daughter would love to come. Bless her heart, 18 months old and she really wants to go to Duxford (after all – she loved seeing Janie take off!).

I would love to be there, and if it were a Tuesday, I definitely would be – but unfortunately I’m not available most weekends, unless I book holiday – and I’ve already planned out the season ahead.
