617sqn Camo TSR2- funnily enough an idea I had had for a R/C model.

Damien.. was it you that had built the little 1/144th scale TSR2 in that ‘hypothetical’ scheme, or am I thinking of someone else?

Nice photos by the way, it has been an interesting and busy few days in this particular corner of the interweb 😀

I can understand why WW2 Mosquitos pilots might be annoyed as Mosquitos should be camouflaged but this is how they flew in the 1960’s and I saw one!! So i quite like it but what would happen if the Museum of Flight at East Fortune (see other string) wanted to paint the Bolingbroke (blenheim) as a Canadian Target Tower. They might be right but EF is a unique WW2 preserved site so it needs to be RAF Camo machine.
No doubt there may be other views.

The Mosquito looks absolutley fantastic, and yes, I would’nt object a bit if the TSR2 was left the way it is, it looks amazing too! Although a fresh coat of white will no doubt look rather special 🙂

I saw this today.

Andrew, nice to see you again today.

Here’s one I prepared earlier whilst you were on the phone to Robbo. The a/c barely visible overhead is the Spit on air test.

Enjoyed the day tremendously, and yes the Mossie is looking pretty good. I quite like the TSR2 in bare metal as well.
