BBC East were at Duxford on the 17th of December filming for the regional “Inside Out” program. They told me that it would go out on air tonight. I’m not sure if the whole program is Duxford based or just a small segment. The last segment definitely contains Duxford footage 🙂
BBC1 at 19:30 Monday 5th January
This will only apply to those who get BBC East or have Sky Digital (all the BBC regional channels are available up in the high numbers somewhere)

I didn’t know that I’d be doing it until the end of the day. They were supposed to fly with some one else, but couldn’t for some reason so the museum asked me to do it.
The original plan was for him to do his bit standing in front of the Cub with the engine running. He would then jump in the front seat and we would go. After doing a “dry run” they decided that it was too difficult to get in gracefully and in one take so he stayed put in the cockpit and did it all from there.
It was a bit of fun for the 17th of December.

I’ve just seen the trailer for tonight’s Inside Out and there was no flying. There was something about preserving achieve film. I guess that could be related.
I’ll watch and see.

A mis-quote from Life of Brian might be in order here…
“You lucky, lucky, b’sterds!”
What have we got? Some charlatan attempting to contact deceased ‘B’ list celebrities – as if there isn’t enough of them on TV now!
Oh well.
