The progamme listed Hawker Hunters. I was disappointed that there were none of these even though one departed Cambridge for Goodwood so could at least have made a flypast.

No Brooklyn Bum,actually no P51’s either, that must be a first for Duxford,Steve there were no Hunters displaying 1 Jaguar and 1 Tornado displayed, well two Tornados sort of arrived with the Lancaster and nearly in the same airspace LOL.
Going in later today so may post some more.

Trumper,
I’m very jealous! I would love the opportunity to attend the amount of airshows that the UK has every year. Here in Vancouver we are lucky to see two every summer, unless you are willing to cross the border into the U.S. To do so can mean hours in a line up and the possibility of random full body searches. (I kid you not). Lots of security. Keep the photos coming!
Cheers,
Todd

I finished the only film I had with me just before the Lanc/Tornado flypast. I thought one of the gang with lenses like telegraph poles would get one so wasn’t too worried.
As it turned out, you’d have been lucky to get them in the same shot with a full 180ยบ fish-eye lens.

Agreed about the Tirpitz flypast – I presume its to do with the BBMFs rules about formating with other a/c. Surely the organisers knew of their policy?

Nice work Trumper

The Bum was in the Hangar, the Lanc and the Tornados were both in the air over Cambridgeshire, but not much closer than that.

Nice shots Trumper. I didn’t go today, as I had other stuff to do, including a trip over to Cambridge Airport. Where I managed to see four Tornados, two Jaguars, a Hunter and the JP, all of which were staging at Cambridge because of Duxford’s runway traumas. Granted the last two are privately owned, but more than one person made the comment “that’s about 50% of the RAF here today then…” ๐

Don’t put yourself down Trumper. Any pictures on the forum are great for those who cannot get to the shows.Nice pictures by any standards.
I cannot go due to work but we normally see a few planes fly by but only the Jet Provost this afternoon.
I will look forward to more pictures later.
Thanks for sharing.
