Any of you Duxford types have any inside info on what time the Swiss Connie’s due in tomorrow?

Didn’t have a wide angle lens with me. The enormity was all over, not localised.

There was one at Legends last year. To be generous, she was somewhat on the large side, or more accurately, b****y enormous. Suffice to say the Bristols didn’t match.

That reminds me James, never did see a lady walking around at an airshow wearing the Blenheim t-shirt ‘Happiness is a pair of big Bristols’ & two strategicaly placed Mercurys on the front.

Haven’t got my Pooleys with me, but I think DX is one of the airfields where you can come in from outside the UK as long as you give the HMC&E chaps a certain amount of notice.

What a wonderfully vague answer! I should be a politician! 😀

Errrmmmm…returning to the thread  wot about Customs clearance? Doesn’t it stop somewhere en route, or do the men with the hats go to DX for the weekend just to cover the foreign arrivals?

Dont throw those bloody spears at me

Doesn’t the short-range surface-to-surface Assegi Mk I belong on the new ‘Missiles & munitions’ sub-forum? 😀

No wonder it took 40 years to figure out what happened to Glen Miller.
