Duxford – trade space shake up. "For better or Worse"

After many years of supporting the airshow events as a trader, selling our wares. We’ve been told there has been a bit of market research and the powers that be have decided that the falling figures at the gates on the “show” days are acredited to the lack of variety in the trade stands area, and that ousting some of the regular stands( like ourselves, who sell an aviation/militaria related product- and who do a very good business with the people that attend these days- thank you all) and incorperating some “new” stands (not quite sure of the style and classification
of the new stands- perhaps general clothing, lingerie, fruit and veg, cuddly toys, music CD’s- who knows???, we’ll have to wait and see.
Do you think that changes in this area will stimulate the “public” to attend the show days in larger numbers, or are the powers that be misguided by the market research (if at all there has been any -’cause as a trader we’ve not been asked for our opinions on improving the show days. Although really does our opinion matter?
Has anyone out there been asked any market research type questions?
Does anyone out there have any suggestions to put to the powers that be to improve show days?
Should we really be chuffed off at the fact that we’ve been attending the shows for a number of years, and now they just don’t want us there?
Finally, Some traders have been hit more than others – some have lost only one of the 4 show days, one that I’ve heard of has lost all 4. Is there a method in the culling of the stands or is it a case of. . . . . . YOU ARE THE WEAKEST LINK . . . . GOODBYE !

Its time they ditched tose tossers who rip people off with food. That scares people away.
