Just a quick visit on a bitterly cold day which was probably the reason why the place was virtually deserted. With Hangar 5 about to get the fire alarm treatment, H3 was still shut, the Hind and Pucara have taken the place of the Sea King and Gannet in AirSpace. The Storch has been moved into the area they formerly occupied to give the contractors room to move. T9/MJ627 has been positioned into a more convenient spot for taking pictures in Hangar 3 and the HAC Hurricane is back in residence minus spinner and rear lower fuselage. With the Bearcat going flying on Sunday, the Hawk had a brief outing into the wall to wall sunshine so the Bearcat could be moved to the airfield to take on a bit of fuel.

I just love these “close season” pictures. Many thanks. Sometimes I wish I was still only half-an-hour away from Duxford………..:)

I can imagine the aircraft blinking at being let out in the fresh air and sunshine at this time of year. They’re probably not used to seeing the sun so low in the sky
