duxfords blackbird

What else are they planning on doing with Duxfords SR71? I hope they are not going to repaint it as it looks really good as it is.

Odd about AR501 as didnt they say a few years back they wanted to keep her as good as possible?

I would have thught the USAF would have kept the blackbirds engines and instruments?

Keep it exactly as it is. Let’s enjoy seeing it in it’s authentic paint sceme – complete with fuel and oil stains.

Similarly, although a very different type, the Shuttleworth Mk V looks straight out of the war with its chipped paint and stains – marvelous!
