While i was going through my (still) to be scanned pictures i found these 3 of when the Eagle first arrived at Duxford.

I think this was from the Eagle as well.

At last, she was looking a bit scruffy last time i saw her.

I think I’d prefer for no delivery at all instead of being left to the elements.

The alternative would probably be the smelter.

Good to see some TLC for such a beautiful aircraft 🙂 I remember how immaculate she was on delivery and being perplexed about it staying outside. I think I’d prefer for no delivery at all instead of being left to the elements.

Anyway, we are where we are. Here’s looking forward to the repainted Eagle.

She was a bit tatty last time i saw her and the sun had started to bleach her funny considering she sat in the desert for a few years until going to Duxford.

But it is good that the IWM are looking after their outside exhibits more as the F15 is not a FSM unlike most of the others.

Does anyone know what they are going to do with her, maybe a lick of paint or a new scheme and some LN codes (spurious i know but who would know).

I suppose there isn’t space for it in the AAM?

Thats good to see, I was rather surprised at its poor condition when I was last at Duxford in September, it really should be under cover.
Is any help forthcoming from any volunteers at Lakenheath? I’m sure they must be able to lay their hands on some spare insignia and paint.
