Duxfords Spit to become an engine less exhibit?

Looks as if the Spit is one for hanging? Removing the engine and replacing it with a prop holding construction, does seem a bit odd.

Engineless?

Actually I think it has been like that since Hong Kong.

I always imagined the BBMF might have had the engine ‘yonks’ ago – pre 58a Shack engine resolution.
