DVD's

Recently I obtained a copy of the DVD Royal Air Force at War. With over six hours of original wartime footage I think it is a cracking buy. The whole series of ‘The Gen’ is reproduced with snippets of all aspects of RAF life. Accompanying this is a series of short films called ‘Airfront’, each episode showing the RAF in action with fantastic coverage of Lancasters, Halifaxes, Mitchells, Bostons, Beaufighter anti shipping strikes and Typhoons amongst others.

All in all a fascinating six hours.

RE: DVD’s

Hi, Snoopy.

sorry about the lateness of my reply but I was one of those who couldn’t log in and I’ve only just got round to it.

Yes there is some stuff on both the Middle East and SEAC. Probably adds up to about half an hour of the total. Some footage of Hurricanes in SEAC, airfield construction, jungle survival, bomber maintenance, WAAF’s, ‘the Pacific Front.’

I still think it’s good value for money.

RE: DVD’s

Hi Kev:

Must have been a great Christmas!! 😉

Can you recall, does the DVD include any footage from Burma, or ACSEA generally?

Regards, and have a good New Year … with Ashley’s 5 Jan party coming up, I’ve no doubt you will!!
