Dreadful weather indeed, but some not too bad displays…..the C130J disappearing due to bad weather made me laugh…all weather transport huh? I did manage to get some good snap so will post them later.

It was just a shame we didnt get to have the ray hanna memorial bit, would have been ace to see the brightling;s again but, dare it say it, maybe at legends

I fully agree. It’s also a shame that looking out of my window now, 10 miles from Duxford, it is a nice sunny evening!!!! Im hope that they incorporate the Ray Hannah memorial flight into Leg-Ends

The display was ended early, due to poor weather. The experience was worth it for me just to see the Eurofighter display! AWESOME!!!!!! I very much enjoyed seeing the Hawker Sea Fury fly also, what an amasing machine.

Pembroke just clattered over Chesham, so they must have knocked the display on the head early

Further update on the weather down here, it’s appalling, quite windy, persistant rain and low cloud, not good for the airshow up the road, or Becks barbie in the other direction.

The filming has been going on for a couple of weeks now and is to do with a follow-up series to the “Spitfire Aces” on Channel 4. This time they are going to take the rookies through to flying a bomber aircraft and Sally B and the Canadian Lancaster are “in the frame” for this work. The ARC Beech 18 was also used last week for a traning sequence.

Yup,
I really should go more often. I only live about 1 mile away.

Intersting to see that ‘Taz’ has lost its RAF roundels and returned to Portugese AF markings since Chailey last weekend

Well spotted Mike. I saw ‘Taz’ at DX last Sunday and did not notice the roundels until you mentioned it and I checked back through my pics. Too busy snapping and not looking. 😮

(Note to self. Pay attention, use the Mk1 eyeball as well as the camara lens.)

Was in Portsmouth (Gunwharf Quay) this afternoon, had a Spitfire with D-Day stripes fly over – was ML407 down that way today?

Had one over Chelmsford aswell, headed North. also with D-Day stripes, and what looked to be in PR Blue scheme.
