EA-6B Prowler

I read the article on the Prowler with great enthusiasm, as it has rapidly become one of my favorite airplanes. I don’t know why, I just like it. I read a really good book entitled Iron Claw, I think. It was written by a pilot who flew EA-6B’s during the Gulf War. Very good, so if you like those type books I would suggest looking for it. Anyway, back to the Prowler itself. Since the retirement of the F-4G and EF-111A, the EA-6B has become the primary SEAD asset of the U.S. military. (I don’t have much respect for the F-16CJ, as it is just a run of the mill F-16 with a little pod bolted on…effective I guess but I would prefer the F-4G.) The Prowler has proven that it is one of the most valuable warplanes in U.S. service. I am just wondering what everyone’s opinion of this fine aircraft is.
