Early 747 models problem

On ANN there is a AD on the 747-100/200 and SP models.
See:- http://www.aero-news.net/index.cfm?ContentBlockID=53c88de2-485b-4b55-b398-065d997ff8d7&
It calls for regular inspections of the wing rear spar and fittings for fatigue cracks. This could make these models uneconomic to continue to operate?
