I get the impression of a heavily “arranged” and artworked picture. The top left is clearly a Morane and the centre machine has a look of the Nieuport monoplane whilst the third is a Taube like creation.

This would appear to be from the Aspern International Air Show. (thanks google!) In the summer of 1912, Roland Garros took part in the Air Show near Vienna, where he competed against many other pilots of the day including Aurel Vlaicu.( see http://www.angelfire.com/md/Orastie/Aurelusa.html)
Do you think the photo is a composite ? seems to bear little resemblance to the goings on at Shuttleworth ! :rolleyes:

This an Italian postcard.

I think that those are the hangars at Speke in the background, so the Stork Hotel can’t be far away and thus it must be Douglas Bader in the picture. And the aeroplane? Oh it must be his spitfarman!

This appears to be a Bristol Boxkite with the extended wing of the Military model or possibly a variant of the original Farman layout.
