Early British Engines for the US Military

Hello all,

I am new here. I have a website on US and German military aircraft here:

http://listofdomains.org/roger/index.htm

Recently, I have been working on US military aircraft engine serials. The AEHS website http://www.enginehistory.org/ has posted lists of engines formerly held by the USAF Museum, and US Navy Aeronautical Engine Laboratory report listing. Both contained several between-the-wars British engines. I have also found some others:

Armstrong-Siddeley Jaguar 23-215

Rolls Royce Buzzard 31-1328 msn 15 (Also USN Type H – are these the same individual engine?)

ABC WASP SC 94911 (from the F.K.23)
ABC Wasp SC 95011
ABC Wasp MSN 5 (94393 is a duplicate number if SC)

Rolls Royce Hawk (8 from British War Mission c.1919)

Napier Lion 23811
Napier Lion 23812 from Blackburn Swift A-6506/7 in now NASM.
Napier Lion 24541 from Blackburn Swift A-6506/7 in now NASM.

Galloway Atlantic

ABC Dragonfly I 92199 (Does not seem to be a SC number)
ABC Dragonfly II

Were the two Sunbeam 225 HP (Mohawks?) ordered by the navy in 1916 ever delivered.

I am interested in the history of these individual engines, and any more that may be known. I have started a British War Department/RAF List as part of what I have found, but it is very threadbare.

Thank you.

Roger
