I was very interested to see the Duxford Blenheim 1 photos in the press recently. The sombre early war years colours seemed to have been almost forgotten for a long time – italmost seemed that all Spitfires and Hurricanes had duck egg blue undersides and big yellow ringed roundels as a default. The BBMF has long sought to vary away from the standard day fighter schemes and its really good to see so many aircraft now wearing some of these shorter lived and quite rare schemes.
It would be nice to see some of the other flyers picking up some rarer schemes. Speaking as ex-18 Group, a Coastal Command B17 would be great…
