Hi guys.
Just been flipping throught the airshow guide that was given with flypast and it says at the back where the museum listings are that East Fortune or Museum of Flight East Fortune as it is listed has a
“Buccaneer Cockpit”
And wait for it
“Beaufighter II and TF10”
Now while I think they mean that they have the beaufighter in storage and the beaufighter forward fuselage on loan from Hendon.
I really do hope they have made a print error in saying that the Bucc is a cockpit section. Does anyone know something the public dont know. Or rather do now.
I suspect it is an error but in light of her being stuck out in the elements is this because she was getting cut up.
Answers on a post card.

They used to have a bit of Buccaneer cockpit out in the hangar for the kids to sit in. No instruments- just a piece of ply with some crudely painted on. Nothing to get excited about I’m afraid.

As well as XT288 they appear to have a cockpit in the storage hanger. According to their website they are not sure if it is from XK533 or XN966.
