Think she was picking up a load of Hawk wings, there were several trucks with one piece wing sets on them Friday and Monday that looked like Hawk items.

Thanks for all those nice comments and additions, sorry I can’t help with directions as on the day it was all so new to me !! but I did meet a very friendly security man who gave me directions to the best spots he knew !! I just followed his directions so cannot state road names etc …

Just a couple of shots from EMA taken last Friday afternoon:

Rich coming from Donington drive past the aeropark, follow the road to the T junction near the track, turn left, at the roundabout enter the airport and onto on next roundabout 3rd exit onto the road parallel to DHL, ( can get the PC PLOD doing speed checks along here, be warned ) follow that to the end and at the mini roundabout turn left, next junction turn right and you will see the carparks and the heli infront of you…. that is where some are from…….

OK back to the mini roundabout, go straight across (from DHL would be turn right), just past the fuel farm on the right turn in to car parks from there and you will be by where the exec stuff parks and will see 767 there too, might be able to move along the fence… do not turn in there but carry on to the next mini roundabout then go left and it brings you to the access gate, right by the 767, would take a couple of quick pics as you are under the camera that watches the gate, so will be watched.

It’s TC-ALM, formerly of Air Alfa.If I remember rightly, in the late 90s it was written off at EMA after it ended up say on its tail. Not too sure of the reason though.

It was bought and flown in by Hunting Air Cargo as a spares source for the Air cargo 727’s they were operating at the time…… mainly for the Engines, she did end up on her tail in some strong winds we had, but wasn’t damaged as such and was lowered by chucking some firemen up the aisle if memory serves me right.
She was then parted out and her hull was positioned where it is now as a training aid for the firesection.

Have some pics on a hard drive of her somewhere sitting on her tail.
