Really? No East Kirkby 3 Lancs pictures posted yet! I am surprised.
I was torn between watching and photographing the event, but with four passes over “Jane”, I managed a bit of both. After so many years seeing only one Lancaster, it seemed a little unreal having two in the air, almost as if my brain was failing to register what it was seeing. Anyway, it was a great day and lovely weather. It was nice to see the three Lancs in bright sunshine after the blue sky evaporated at Teesside just in time for the flight!

No 9 is stunning, but then any pic of a Lanc is really! Off to see VeRA and Thumper at Southport soon. Hoping to get some good pics.

Really like 9, something about it reminds me of “Night Bombers” the colour footage taken at RAF Hemswell, 1943
