Easy Spit quiz?

Can anyone identify the which/where etc on this one?

(Anyone called Mark is excluded from participating, at least until everyone else has a go! ;))

It looks like DX, but when did the grass grow right up to the hangar door?

Mark

A little searching on that site reveals:-

Yup, it is indeed a 1/48th scale model by Mick Evans

Looks pretrty good, doesn’t it?

But I think the place is real – does it look familiar? Looks British to me

Damn. I thought the tailwheel looked a little…floaty.

Dave, I’m gonna guess and say it’s a model, or a FSM?

Looks like Mr Romain’s plastic Spitfire currently visible (just) from the M11.

[Edit] and that’s Building 63 DX in the background.

Care to credit the first photo to the late Stuart Howe?

Taken on 25 July 1970.

Mark 🙂

Duly noted. There were no credit details on the site, as far as I could see (and obviously I didn’t give the site’s URL away!).

Curses! Foiled again! Mind you, this one didn’t last as long as the model Spit thread that had Mark12 confused for the best part of a day! 😀

Pic and info from this rather informative little page:

I thought it was the theatre of war, but the Belgian marks are putting me off. Strange scheme
