Took this shot at EDI on Weds… It looks really smart in
the old worn livery… anyone reckon Easy should have a new colour scheme or at least break the monotomy with
the odd logo jet.?

I agree with Ren Frew,
The Easyjet brand is very well known, in fact I think it’s so well known it’s too well known and people are getting fed up with it like me. They could keep the whole easyjet.com brand, it doesn’t have to be a whole new identity name change – but it does need to be rivised and updated it a bit to give it a desperatly needed REFRESH!
I think it would do them the world of good!

I disagree, they could keep the logo’s and fonts etc, but do them in a range of colours such as greens, blues, reds purples and yellows. A la Braniff… 😀

A new livery would be like giving away their world-known brand away. They have got to the point where anything that colour is associated in people’s minds straight away with Easyjet, to change it would be throwing away all they have worked for over all these years.

Im also getting sick of the orange!, at BRS.
I miss the GO a/c, they were much more interesting! Often you could see one a/c take off and then see it land a few hours later as you knew it was the same a/c as they were all different. You could also tell if there was a visiting non-bsed a/c from STN too. Nowerdays it’s just all the identical orange EZY army! they need a new livery!

I live in the scenery behind the AMM 757. That GO 737 would have flown over my house! The water you can see is the Bristol Channel and the land on the other side of it is South Wales.

Stop BA Stop GO was always rather confusing for me!

Looks better than the 737’s in that livery or is that just because we’re so used to seeing 737’s ?
I think you are right… it was tiring…
Maybe Easy might come-up with A318s next.?
Loads will fall as fares/fuel rises…one wonders if FRs 737-800s were such a good idea.?
Frontier in the USA have a fleet of 318s.This one at Seattle

I think the A319 wears the EZY c/s better than the 737’s although the EZY livery could do with an update overall in my opinion…
It certainly does, we have different lettering over the years
(phone numbers etc) and who can forget the ‘Stop BA’ logo.? :p

That A319 (G-EZEK) was at BRS yesterday. Its very rare to see it here. I didn’t manage to find out where it was from/or going to, can anyone help?

We get the odd Jet2 at EDI from time to time…are they not
something to do with Channex and the Dart Group.?Having said that Flyglobespan now have an ex islandflug/icebird aircraft in their colours..
The paintwork seems a bit ‘rushed’
Jet2 are a low cost arm of Channel Express.

I ADORE easyJet A319. Its my main ambition to be an easyJet A319 pilot no matter the pay or hours you have to do. That would make my life complete!
I am the worlds biggest easyJet fan by far!

I really like the Easyjet colors but my favourite LCC coulors are GermanWings.
By: bmi-star - 3rd June 2004 at 17:02
I think the Orange suites the A319 better than the 737. And i’m looking forward to flying in my germanwinged A319 next month:D

What a beauty! Thanks Joe, what was the Jet2 doing there? Covering for a Globespan flight?

Great shot mate – you take an awesome photo!
Personally I like the livery, really stands out. I like a fair few of the lo-cos liveries, Jet2,Easyjet and I quite like Ryanair,V-Bird and Germanwings.
