I see from the easyJet website, during the last year the company ‘lost’ 19 Boeing 737s and gained 32 Airbus A319s. Does anyone know which (if any) bases this year will be converted from 737s to A319s?
Also, am I correct in thinking that the remaining 737 bases are Belfast, Newcastle and Luton?

I don’t think there’s availability for any more based -700s, and basing a lone A319 isn’t on. Any new routes will have to fit in with the existing 4 or 5 based 737s, or operated from the other end. W patterns aren’t all that common anymore.

Thanks for the replies 🙂
With reference to Jet2 at BFS, I am surprised that there hasn’t been more of a response from easyJet.
Personally, when I heard that Jet2 were beginning to compete on selected routes directly with easyJet, I expected some kind of fightback from easyJet along the lines of easyJet commencing direct flights to Barcelona and Prague – both of which appear to present good yields to Jet2. But to date, there’s strangely been nothing
I have heard from someone within BFS that there will be more route announcements from easyJet shortly at BFS, though according to easyJet’s last annual results slideshow, there appear to be no immediate plans to base additional aircraft at BFS.

Why is Belfast to be the last to see the A319? Has Easy lost interest in Belfast and will they be overtaken by Jet2 in Bfs ?

BFS is remaining 737 for the next few years, until the 737s have gone.

Not sure about the first question, but your spot on with the remaining 737 bases, I believe.;)
