easyJet adds 6 new routes including 4 new destinations!

Millions of travellers will soon be benefiting from easyJet’s low fares to Almeria, Bratislava, Turin and Valencia as a further six routes are added to the airline’s network. This brings the number of routes offered by easyJet to 179 between 48 cities – more than any other low-cost airline.

Fares on these routes start at ยฃ17.99 including all taxes and charges and are now on sale at http://www.easyJet.com.

The new routes to Almeria and Valencia build on easyJet’s long-established Spanish operation: well over six million customers will fly on 51 routes to Spain over the next 12 months making easyJet the first choice for all passengers looking to get a better deal on their flights to Spain.

The routes to Bratislava will build on easyJet’s other new services to Budapest and Ljubljana in Central/Eastern Europe, which have proved exceptionally popular since services started in May. Whilst Turin will be the first Italian route the airline will operate from London Luton Airport.

Passengers in the South West now also have another new route to choose from, as the currently served destination of Madrid is introduced to Bristol International Airport.

London Luton to Bratislava – Daily from 8 December 2004.
London Luton to Turin – Daily from 13 October 2004

Berlin Schรถnefeld to Bratislava – Twice Daily from 25 November 2004

London Stansted to Valencia – Daily from 3 November 2004
London Stansted to Almeria – Daily from 11 November 2004

Bristol to Madrid – Daily from 31 October 2004

Following today’s announcement, easyJet will be operating 62 more routes this winter than last. Even more routes are expected to go on sale in the very near future.

——————-

easyJet really are expanding this winter! Murcia is also to go on sale soon from London Gatwick starting next February which means easyJet will serve a total of 10 spanish destinations from London

Bilbao – LGW, STN
Madrid – LGW,LTN
Barcelona – LGW,LTN,STN
Valencia – STN
Alicante – STN,LGW,LTN
Almeria – STN
Murcia – LGW
Ibiza – LGW,STN (Summer Only)
Palma – LGW,STN,LTN
Malaga – LGW,STN,LTN

When you also consider that Ryanair serve Girona, Reus, Murcia, Jerez, Valladolid, Zaragoza and Santander from Stansted, you can more or less fly to most parts of Spain from London (especially STN) with a low cost carrier. The only sort of market which is missing is the North West region of Spain (Santiago, Vigo etc). Maybe one day?

If no airlines want to operate from CWL then the demand cant be there. Most British airports now have their resident LCC who are expanding one way or the other one exception being CWL.CWL is all that far from BHX but dont give up hope just yet.My eyes nearly fell out of my head this morning when Knock announced there would be an airline operaitng between the West Ireland airport and Sout Africa for the winter season. No details about the aircraft or operator but I be amazed if it was a non-stop flight.

What a surprise; more new routes for Easyjet and none from East Midlands. Are they really interested in EMA?

ARRRRRRRRGGGGH!!!Sorry, just a bit narked at that Bristol- Madrid route. Why can’t Cardiff have some decent routes like that? We are “the capital of Wales” after all. Apparently theirs a CWL enthusiasts group campaigning to get Baby out of Cardiff to allow other airlines in! They’ve been approaching other lcc showing them all the facilities & benefits of operating from CWL and have even been in touch with some European full service airlines! Not sure if it’s true but it wouldn’t surprise me, It’s been world war 3 at the airport between Baby, the enthusiasts & CWL management who’ve been trying to settle the disagreement, but I gather their now on edge as to how long Baby will remain.
